We are excited to put on the second race of our Chocolate Chase Sweet Series...The Hot Chocolate 5k and (.5k). Participants will have their choice to run the classic 5k race or run the .5k (500 m) participation run. The race location will be in Polk OH. Just like our summer race, we will be partnering with the Polk-Jackson-Perry Fire Department and Polk Lions Club to put on another great race!
This year we are using our 5k to help raise money towards sports fees for the members of our Track & Field team. When entering online or in person on the 20th, each participant will have a chance to reference a Mapleton Track & Field Team Member. Each reference will earn $10 that will go towards covering $400 HS Sports Fees or $200 MS Sports Fees. This is a great way to help our athletes make sure they are not limited to participating this Spring due to sports fees costs!
The races will be held in Polk Ohio. Parking, Race Registration and Packet pick-up will be at:

After the races we will present our overall and age group winners. Also, don’t forget that the Polk Lions Club and Mapleton Cross Country team will have hot chocolate available for participants. This will also be available for spectators to purchase and partake in!

All paid pre-registered athletes will receive a Chocolate Chase Sweet Series bag, a unique finisher medal, and hot chocolate, and some other race day goodies. Walk-ups the day of the event are welcome but are not guaranteed for all race giveaways. Participants will also receive a unique finisher medal! Prizes include large medals (top overall finishers male/female and masters divisions) and medals (Champion & Runner-Up age group winners).
