Proudly led by Steve Taylor since 2006, AFM traces its roots to the founding leadership of Ashland's own Dr. Louis Pete more than 60 years ago. Steve served as band director for Hillsdale High School for 35 years, retiring in 2013. The core of the band is made up of players from Ashland, Mansfield, and Wooster symphony orchestras.
