Always a community favorite, our annual Ice Cream Social & Silent Auction has something for everyone, including musical entertainment, ice cream and homemade cake.
This year's entertainment will be provided by the Fun Center Chordsmen and the Mansfield Dulcimers. The Fun Center Chordsmen is a 50-member men's a cappella chorus. The members are men of all ages that come from varied backgrounds and experiences united in the spirit of love of four part a cappella singing. The Mansfield Dulcimers have been entertaining guests for many years at the Ice Cream Social. Developed in the early 19th century in the mountains of Appalachia, the dulcimer is a simple stringed instrument that's part of the zither family of instruments.
The Manor House will be filled with items for the silent auction that have been donated by local merchants, businesses and individuals. The cash and carry tables are always a hit. There will also be special displays in commemoration of Ashland's Bicentennial, and the museum's buildings will be open for self-guided tours.
Please plan on joining us for all of the festivities. Free and open to the public; donations are welcome.
